Olá! Como prometido, aqui vai uma review do molde 47 da Otome no Sewing 12 :D

Esse foi, de longe, o molde mais esperado dessa edição, e não é pra menos: depois de tanto tempo reciclando coisas antigas, já era hora de sermos agraciadas com alguma novidade nessa revista. /rant auhhuahua

Para quem não lembra, aqui estão os dois moldes Wa que vieram nessa revista:

Enfim, vamos começar pelo esquema de tracejado e eu vou explicando o que fiz de diferente etc.:
So, anyway, I'll start by showing you the pattern scheme for this dress:


Para esse vestido decidi usar um tecido antiquérrimo que estava atolado aqui na montanha de panos que tenho guardada. Como já tinha usado a parte que queria, ele parecia fadado às traças, sem qualquer possibilidade de uso.

Essa, porém, não foi uma ideia muito inteligente, mas quando me dei conta disso já era tarde demais e o tecido já estava cortado na minha mão.

O pano é bem pesado. Não sei exatamente o que é, parece ter uma parte de algodão, um monte de poliéster e as flores são bordadas com uma linha furta cor. E ele desfia. ÓH CÉUS COMO DESFIA ESSE TECIDO...!

So, for this dress I decided to use a pretty fabric that I bought yeeeeaaarrsss ago for my BJDs. Since I had already used what I needed, it was only getting dust in the back of my closet and seemed to have no use whatsoever. 

It was not a smart idea, as I soon discovered, but at that time I had already cut it into pieces, so I couldn't go back. Hahaha

The fabric is kinda heavy (I don't know what kind of fabric is it... it has a small portion of cotton, a lot of polyester, the flowers are embroidered with an iridescent thread etc. and it shreds. IT SHREDS A LOT. MY HOUSE WAS ENTIRELY COVERED BY PURPLE AND BLACK THREADS. 





Bem, de todo modo, comecei pela saia. O molde sugere que você faça assim:
Anyway, I started by cutting the skirt. The magazine tells you to make it like it:


Mas eu tinha uma quantidade bem limitada de tecido (e estava tentando fazer a estampa bater, então...) daí fiz assim:

But I had a very limited amount of fabric (and I was trying to match patterns, so...), so I did it like this:

O resultado foi esse:

Depois de gastar um dia inteiro fazendo essas dobras, eu aproveitei para cortar a parte do corpo e já ir juntando o que dava.

So, after spending a whole day making these folds, I went to cut the bodice parts. This one was very straightforward (just trace and cut, literally), and I'm sorry I don't have better pictures of  the process :(

I made the wrapping wrong, don't forget to make it right!

Depois de tudo junto, hora de fazer a parte da cintura. O vestido indica para fazer algo meio cintura imperial, mas, como eu fico péssima nesse tipo de corte, aumentei um tanto a parte central para que a saia começasse na minha cintura certinha.

After that it's time to make the waist part. The pattern had something that could easily go to a high waisted dress, but, since I can't coord them well, I decided to make the waist part a tad longer (10cm) in order to have the skirt sitting properly at my waist.


Particularmente, não gosto da ideia do laço gigante na cintura, então substituí essa opção por uma faixa com nó central.

Depois eu:

• Costurei tudo junto;
• Coloquei forro na parte da cintura;
• Fiz dois laços como broche para as alças;
• Fiz a faixa da cintura;
• Costurei um zíper nas costas.

I personally don't like the big bow in the waist, so I dropped it and made a simple sash with a knot.

Then I:

• Sew everything together;
• Put a lining in the waist part;
• Made two ribbon brooches for the shoulder strap;
• Made a waist sash;
• Sew a ziper in the back.

Por fim, alguns comentários sobre esse molde:

• Bem fácil de seguir;
• Cuidado com o tamanho. Os moldes parecem vir cada vez mais largos... 
• Sugiro fazer as dobras da saia do mesmo jeito que eu fiz. Economiza pano e não faz tanta diferença no resultado final;
• Cuidado com a parte da alça. As instruções não são muito claras e você pode acabar cometendo o mesmo erro que eu;
• Use um tecido leve, sério.

So, here are some comments on this pattern:

• Easy to follow;
• I have the feeling that the patterns are coming larger and larger. The S size always had a nice fit on my body, but now it's a bit large for me...;
• I suggest making the folds in the skirt the same way I made. You save yourself some fabric and it makes no real difference in the end;
• The shoulder strap pattern is not very clear, so pay attention when cutting it;
• Use a light fabric, please...
